Inspired by a summer spent in Tuscany, the Monari fashion label was founded in Italy, 1986 by Renate and Bernhard Bosch. Their vision was to capture the essence of that life attitude through a fashion label specialising in high-quality knitwear. While remaining true to its origins, Monari expanded its portfolio over time to offer complete outfits. Today, the label is led by owner and Head Designer Anne Böing, along with Managing Director of Sales Angela Bertrams-Cosse. Despite their distinct personalities, they work together as a unified team with a clear commitment: to create designs of exceptional quality, distinctive looks, and to continue the success of the Monari label.
The Monari Italian fashion label offers collections that are sophisticated, relaxed, and glamorous, all while maintaining exceptional quality and a unique touch. Each collection is meticulously crafted, paying attention to every detail in terms of both content and appearance, resulting in unmistakable looks. The Monari style is quintessentially casual elegance, with a twist.
Monari have established long-term partnerships with reliable manufacturers in Europe, Turkey, North Africa, and the Far East, which gives them access to unique production expertise. Their core strengths lie in utilising individual knitting methods, employing distinctive printing techniques, and working with high-quality yarns and materials. With the support of their experienced team of designers and international technicians, they are inspired by current trends and the "Pitti Immagine Filati" trade fair for textile fibres in Florence. This ensures that their collections are crafted with the highest standards of style, quality, and fit.
Monari are committed to acting sustainably, taking social responsibility and leading by example. They aim to offer their customers, employees, suppliers and the future generations solutions that are environmentally and socially conscious while being economically viable. Responsible production, preservation of natural resources and prudent business practices are central elements of their corporate strategy and are firmly anchored in our operational areas.
